This book is by far my favorite out of the whole series of Hello Genius books (the large set can be found on Amazon Kids+). The colors and the simple but beautiful illustrations make it a very enjoyable visual experience. The process of reading the book helps walk a small child through the process of losing oneself to emotions (triggered by dropping an ice cream) by trying various practices such as crying, taking deep breaths, singing a song, taking a breath, etc. The simplicity of the wording and illustrations on each page lends itself to a calming meditation itself as you slowly read through it. My kids both enjoyed it and I would read it frequently with them.
