About Thriving Fries
Thriving Fries is our family’s homeschool and creativity project. We believe learning is a journey, and we use real experiences to teach reflection, creativity, and entrepreneurship.
The Fries are our family — a team of curious learners led by parents Arvind and Santhra, and our young creators, Pax and Maya!
We share homeschool lessons, creative projects, reflections, educational printables, and entrepreneurial experiments — all made by our family as we learn together.
Learning & Homeschooling
Most of the content created on this site is free to use. As we grow and learn, we will be working through a number of ways to seek compensation for some of the larger projects or work.
Initially our focus been more on the core subjects around math and reading from a more traditional background. As our approach evolves, we are seeking more opportunities to follow our kids’ interests and align our content and methods in ways that better resonate with them (and reduce friction).
We combine many resources including Zearn, Code.org, handwriting and English textbooks with some less traditional yet enganging approaches like the Sassafras Science Adventures, The Life of Fred math series, and our own creative projects to design a well-rounded learning journey. We also seek experts where necessary, such as a language tutor for Spanish.
Entrepreneurship & Family Business
We treat learning as meaningful work. The kids earn from approved and published projects, learning real-world skills about effort, value, and money.
Every creative post or product connects to lessons about saving, investing, and giving — helping them build financial literacy early.
Yes! When their work gets approved or published, they receive payment that helps fund their savings and future investments. As we progress, we will look to more creative and natural ways to generate revenue, ranging from affiliate marketing to product sales.
