A book moves forward. History overlaps.
In the original project account, Arvind describes a limitation of reading history one story at a time: events in different civilizations can be difficult to picture together.
The wall timeline offered a shared space for those stories. A card on one string could sit beside a card on another. The arrangement invited a different kind of question: what else was happening then?
A useful thing to make
The project combined reading with a small act of creation. Each card called for choosing an event, writing a summary, and giving it a place. The finished wall served as a visual record that could be revisited.
That connection between information and something made is central to the Thriving Fries workshop. The project page shares the original method so other families can make their own version.
