The Intro
Welcome to Thriving Fries. If you look around, you’ll see a lot of LEGOs, a lot of books, and a lot of messy experiments. But this site isn’t just a collection of things we’ve done—it’s a portal.
It is the bridge between the lessons we learn in the comfort of our home and the real world outside our door.
The Mission
We view information like a pile of LEGO bricks. Collected in a bin, they have potential—but they only become something special when you start snapping them together.
That is our daily challenge: to not just collect facts, but to build with them. We are on a journey to be active Creators, using our education as a toolkit to design, test, and share our ideas with the world.
Real World, Real Responsibility
You might notice that we treat Thriving Fries like a real company—because for us, it is.
Our children hold the official title of “Creators” within the business. They aren’t just subjects of a blog; they are contributors. They pitch ideas, produce content, and earn compensation for their work.
Why? Because we believe financial literacy and work ethic are just as important as math and history. By earning a wage for their contributions, they are learning about budgeting, saving, and the relationship between effort and reward—all within the safety of our home.
How Our Site Works
We organized this site to mirror the Cycle of Creation we practice every day. Whether you are a fellow homeschooler or just a curious visitor, here is how you can navigate our world:
- Resources (Raw Materials): Curiosity needs fuel. Here, we share the high-quality inputs we use—curricula like Zearn, favorite books, and the essential tools that serve as the raw materials for our learning.
- Reflections (Blueprints): Information isn’t knowledge until you process it. This is where we share our insights, reflect on what we’ve learned, and sketch out the designs for our next big ideas.
- Projects (The Build Site): This is where we get our hands dirty. We showcase the experiments, artwork, and prototypes we are currently building to put our book-learning into action.
- The Shop (Marketplace): The final step of learning is creating value for others. Here, our kids practice entrepreneurship by selling the digital tools, worksheets, and physical creations they’ve engineered themselves.
Meet the Crew
We are a team of curious creators, each with a role to play:
- The Chief Architects (Arvind & Santhra): Managing the roadmap, funding the operation, and mentoring the team.
- The Creators (Pax & Maya): Official content contributors. Responsible for testing ideas, creating inventory for the shop, and learning what it means to be a professional.
The “Why”
We don’t know exactly where this adventure will lead, but we know we won’t get there by sitting still. We are testing ideas, making prototypes, and learning how to build value for the world, one brick at a time.
